About Us

Our Mission:

At S&C Family Centered Foundation, Support, Care, and Community are at the heart of everything we do.

We focus on the lives of individuals and families, including children, youth, adolescents, and older adults within our community.

We aim to share resources, uplift community voices, support collaboration, and foster resilience.

We strive to create meaningful connections and promote both personal and collective growth.

We strive to establish a supportive environment where education, health, and well-being are prioritized, ensuring everyone can thrive and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive community.

Our Vision:

We envision a Colorado where all children grow up in safe, loving, and nurturing environments.

What is kinship care?

Kinship care occurs when grandparents, relatives, or trusted family friends care for children who cannot safely remain with their parents.

These caregivers help children maintain family connections, stability, and a sense of belonging.

What is child abuse?

What is child neglect?

What is kinship care?

Child abuse includes physical, sexual, and emotional harm to children. Abuse can happen in homes, schools, institutions, and community settings.

Recognizing warning signs, listening to children, and responding to safety concerns can help protect children.

What is child neglect?

Child neglect occurs when a child's essential needs for safety, supervision, nutrition, shelter, or necessary medical care are not adequately met, placing their well-being at risk.

Poverty alone is not child neglect. Families facing hardship may need additional resources, education, and support.

Did You Know? Neglect was identified in 74% of substantiated child maltreatment victims nationwide in 2023.
